Hello! Hope you all had an awesome weekend!
The BF and I took my nephews to Legoland on Saturday to celebrate the end of school. We ended up having a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend going if you have kids you want to spoil.
I had 9 miles planned on my training schedule for Sunday morning. But since I was out all day Saturday, waking up early was extra painful on Sunday. I was lazy and tired and all I wanted to do was stay in bed and sleep in. Truthfully, I almost bailed but I knew that some kind of running had to be done or else it would bite me in the you-know-what later. The Disneyland Half is a little over two months away! I dragged myself out of bed and managed 5 miles. I stopped hating life probably around mile 2 and as always, I was glad that I made it outside. I’ll just have to make up for it this weekend.
I really want to lose those last few pounds that I’ve been lugging around. Not only will it make me look better and feel healthier, but it will also make me run faster!
An article from Runner’s World states that:
“Broadly speaking, for every pound you lose, you’ll cut about two seconds off of your mile time. So in theory, losing five pounds could shave two minutes off of your half marathon PR.”
So, if I lose those last 10 pounds, I’ll on average be 20 seconds per mile faster and shave four minutes off my half marathon! I’m thinking about doing Weight Watchers. My mom is currently doing it with much success.
Have you ever tried Weight Watchers before? Has it worked for you?
Have a great week!
