Diet: Aside from In N Out today (yum!) and some P.B. cookies I made this week … GOOD!
I wanted a lax approach to my maintenance runs this week, so I ran Garmin-less and iPod-less! I ran at a comfortable pace on my -now- usual two mile loop. It felt nice to be outside and just run, without worrying about my time. I think I’m getting faster, though.
This weekend’s long run is up to 9 miles! Whew! I haven’t run that far since marathon training in 2005. Should be interesting. I will walk/run and take it easy. I also bought a box of my new favorite long run fuel …
Clif Shot Bloks! Nom. Nom. Nom. I’m not the biggest fan of GUs … the consistency is well, gooey, and they are too sweet. Even for me … which is saying something. I have used them in the past, however, and they definitely get the job done. BUT Clif Shot Bloks are BOTH effective and delicious! I eat a few and have to remind myself that they are NOT candy. Haha!
Thank goodness it’s nearly Friday! The boyfriend has summer hours at his work (lucky) and since I already get out at 3pm we have even more time for our date night Fridays. Looking forward to a fun weekend! Hope you have the happiest of Fridays and the greatest of weekends!
