Sunday: 7 mile walk/run
Diet: Healthy, but plentiful must work on portion control!!!
My long run this past Sunday was great. I woke up early and there was a nice fog over the valley that kept things cool.
Instead of the trail, I just headed out into the street and ran around the neighborhood. I ran by a duck pond and these ducks were the most jaded ducks I have ever seen (besides the ones at Disneyland). As I was approaching, they were sitting beside the pond . They stared at me like, “Meh. You’re not the first runner we’re ever seen” and did not move an inch.

I ran by the local grocery store and Best Buy on my run (about 3 miles out). It’s funny that I usually drive to these places, but now I’m running past them!
Considering that I’m a born again runner, I’m now remembering how lovely it is to be part of the running community. We are all weirdos getting up at the crack of dawn to run miles on end and still manage to give each other a smile, a nod, or a wave of recognition. We don’t judge how fast the other person is or how slow they are, like me. We are just happy that we’re out there doing what we love. It’s like a secret society. I love it.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
