Things have been quiet around here because the boyfriend and I took a little vacation to Chicago last week! It was our first time there and we had such a great time.
I had serious plans to run (I brought my running gear and wanted to run by Lake Michigan) but there was just too much to see and do!
I am an art history nerd and one of my favorite pieces of all time is Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte which is located in the Art Institute of Chicago. Luckily the boyfriend likes museums as much as I do so we went there and I was in love.
The boyfriend and I also met up with a good friend of ours who lives in Michigan. He came down to Chicago for a day to meet up with us. We all met in grad school in Boston, so it was nice to have a little reunion in Chicago.
Although it wasn’t intentional, it was nice to have a week break from running. I miss it! I have Memorial Day off so I’m looking forward to starting half marathon training in earnest tomorrow.
