I officially started training for the Disneyland Half Marathon yesterday! I have an unusual (but for me effective) training schedule planned. I’m doing Couch to 5K followed by a Galloway-ish run walk plan. I have it all mapped out on my oh-so-cute piglet calendar that the boyfriend’s Pop gave me:
I’m starting with week three of the C25K. I felt great during and immediately after the run so I know that I’m training at the right pace. My ultimate goal is to do the half in under 2 hours. I have 1:59:58 in my brain, but if I make it sub 2:15, I will be satisfied.
I’ve been fiddling out with the right title for this blog, Running for Pancakes seems to be the best. I’m getting back into running after an, ahem, 6 year hiatus. I love pancakes (as well as other foods!) and rekindling my love of running. I would love to lose a few pounds as well.
